This past weekend was the State Championship game for
football! We made it again this year so we made the trip to watch the game (of
course). My parents drove down on Friday and rode with us on Saturday. The game
was at noon and the weather couldn’t have been better. The sun was shining and
it was around 70 degrees (on Dec. 1st…whoa!)
Jordan’s brother also played in the State Championship game
(in a different class) so we got to see cousin Thad and Aunt Jami at the game
since they were already there. Jordan’s parents got to come to the game too so
we had a lot of the fam there to cheer on Jordan’s team.
The game was so fun to watch! We were down the first half
but came back to be in the lead right before halftime. The second half we
stayed in the lead the whole time but it was close. We ended up winning 51-44!
It was a tough game but we fought hard and won the State Championship!! I am so
proud of Jordan for all the energy, time, and hard work he has put into the
season. I cannot be happier because we
won state and football season is over. We have our weekends back, I have my
husband back, and the boys have their daddy back. It’s not like he was gone
because we did get to see him a lot during the season. He does a great job
making time for us and he is intentional to spend quality time with us (no tv)
but he has more time when it’s not football season!
